Chromium Picolinate and Cinnamon are members of a selection of Vitamins and Supplements that are helpful in controlling blood sugar levels when used with a sugar control diet and Exercise. You make the difference.

Chromium  has been identified as useful in helping to reduce Insulin Resistance an important symptom of Diabetes. The reason Insulin Resistance is so important is that it is a major contributor to the process of developing Diabetes. If your cells are overwhelmed with excess sugar in your blood, the pancreas produces more insulin to promote use of sugar as energy by the cells of your body but after a time the cells become resistant to insulin and excess sugar begins to accumulate in the blood (why we have ways to check and monitor blood sugar levels). Chromium assists the transportation of sugar into the cells thereby improving the action of Insulin and reducing blood sugar levels.

A Note, always check with your caregiver about any supplement or vitamin you are adding to your diet. It is important to watch your sugar levels as both cinnamon and chromium are often used to help lower blood sugar levels.
